Jasna Góra Shrine – Częstochowa – Black Madonna

Jasna Góra – Hill with the holy Shrine of Pauline Monastery, established in XV century. Sanctuary was visited by The Pope John Paul II 6 times (1979, 1983, 1987, 1991, 1997, 1999), was also visited in 2006 by The Pope Benedict XVI.
Every day a steady stream of pilgrims approaches the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. With four to five million pilgrims a year (almost as many as Lourdes and Fatima), and the home of the beloved miraculous icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa (Black Madonna) or Jasna Gora. The shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa is one of the most famous shrines in Central Europe.
The Monastery was also a place of freedom battles of Polish people among ages. We would like to invite you to visit with us: The Bell Tower, The Chapel, The Basilica, The Sacristy, The Treasury, The Library, The Robes, The Knights Hall, The Station of The Cross.
